In lieu of the Esala Perahera in Kandy, the Rotaract Club of APIIT, in collaboration with the Rotaract Clubs of Colombo Mid Town, Kandy Metropolitan, and the University of Peradeniya, successfully concluded Project Nadun for the third consecutive year.
The project focused on distributing 380 refreshment packs to spectators who endured long hours under the sun while witnessing the grandeur of the Esala Perahera. This initiative provided much-needed relief, ensuring they remained rejuvenated throughout the event.
Beyond offering refreshments, Project Nadun showcased the clubs’ collective commitment to community service. The seamless coordination between clubs enabled the efficient distribution of packs, leaving a positive impact on the general public and reinforcing the spirit of service during Sri Lanka’s rich cultural celebrations.
