The Rotaract Club marked a beautiful chapter in our journey this year with Mentora a three-phase project, our professional development project that reached the hearts of many at Kalai Magal Tamil Mahavidyalayam in Kalutara, Mathugama.

On the 17th of July, our team set out with one goal in mind, to inspire young minds and remind them that their dreams matter. We were honoured to be joined by the ever-inspiring Mr. Yogendra Prasad Sathya Seelan, whose heartfelt session on the importance of education and setting life goals left a lasting impact on every student in the room.

What made this project truly special was not just the speaker or the program it was the connection. After the session, we spent time with the students, laughed with them, shared our own dreams, and listened as they spoke about theirs. In those moments, we were no longer just visitors we were friends, mentors, and most of all, learners.

The smiles, the stories, and the warmth we received reminded us why we do what we do. We ended the day with refreshments for everyone a small gesture that turned into a shared celebration of hope, ambition, and community.

Mentora was not just an event. It was a reminder that every child deserves to believe in something bigger, and sometimes all it takes is a few kind words, a listening ear, and a little time to help them see just how powerful their dreams can be.
